Production of Topology-optimised Structural Nodes Using Arc-based, Additive Manufacturing with GMAW Welding Process

چکیده

The desire to generate a stress optimised structural node with maximum stability is often coupled the goal of low manufacturing costs and an adapted minimal use material. complex, three-dimensional free-form structures, which are created by means topology-optimisation, only partially suitable for conventional manufacturing. wire arc additive (WAAM), welding processes, offer cost-effective flexible possibility individual production metallic components. Gas metal (GMAW) particularly produce large-volume, load-bearing structures due build-up rates up 5 kg/h. generation strength stiffness support numerical simulation method topology-optimisation was investigated in this study topology-optimised nodes. resulting transferred into robot path using CAD/CAM software manufactured from filler material G4Si1 WAAM GMAW process. Based on boundary conditions process, planning thus manufacturability supporting structure nodes evaluated verified sample made G4Si1. Depending planning, improvement mechanical properties could be achieved, changes t8/5 times.
